Lenovo posts profits

Lenovo Group Ltd, China's largest maker of personal computers, has reported fiscal first-quarter profits of $54.9 million.

Lenovo earned $54.9 million or 0.54 cent a share from the beginning of April to the end of June. In a statement Thursday, Lenovo said the company made a loss of $16 million, or 0.18 cent a share, over the same time period last year.
